Many children need extra support to help them deal with various life situations and difficulties, to build their self- esteem, increase their confidence and gain resilience and emotional development. I work with children from 3 years old, using play techniques, to allow children to access their self- growth through the means of creative arts.
I have experience working with complex emotional difficulties in children, as well as various life struggles, such as exam stress, bereavement, parents separating, self- esteem and friendship issues. I also work with children who have a diagnosis of ASD, ADHD and ODD, as well as children with a low mood, anxiety, or having experienced past trauma.
My fees are £45.00 per 50 minute session. I offer a free initial meeting with parents if requested, or telephone consultation if preferred.

I also offer hypnoanalysis which uses a technique called free association whilst in hypnosis to clear the Psyche of unpleasant baggage, which was weighing the person down in their day to day life.

This therapy is really useful for those who cannot identify a reason for their difficult feelings/ anxieties/ fear of authority / lack of confidence/ phobias etc.
My fees are £50.00 per session. Sessions are weekly until the work is completed which normally is between 5- 10 sessions.
Counselling helps you to process, overcome, or identify life difficulties, or difficult emotions. I aim to build a real and honest, person- to -person working relationship with you, in order to help tackle the issue together and enable you to make the changes that you want to make, to work through difficult emotions, life situations, or process past traumas, in order to lead a more fulfilling life.
My approach is warm, supportive and non- judgemental, where I always work to what you want from the therapy. This may be to be given the space and support to process feelings at your pace, or you may prefer a more solution- focused approach, where I can teach you coping strategies, exploring techniques and strategies, such as Cognitive- Behavioural Therapy (CBT), or using creative art.
My fees are £45.00 per individual session. Sessions are for 50 minutes.
Couples Counselling is £50.00 per 60 minute session.
Hypnotherapy is an effective therapy that uses hypnosis to bypass conscious awareness and works with the subconscious mind in order to help people make the changes that they want to make in their life, at a much quicker rate than other therapies. The therapy is a very pleasant experience for clients, where the mind and body are able to feel relaxed, calm and comfortable.
Your subconscious aims to help you, however, in being the primitive part of your brain, sometimes it is holding on to unhelpful beliefs about yourself, others, or inhibiting you from living the life you want to consciously. Hypnotherapy can help the subconscious realise there is no threat to your survival by undertaking certain tasks and build on your self- esteem and confidence.
My fee is £50.00 per session, where this work is short- term, normally only needing up to three sessions.
The fee for the quit smoking therapy is £140.00 for a one- off, two hour session, to then lead a smoke free life.

Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT)
This method looks at people's thought processes, such as looking at the truth in faulty thinking and also behavioural techniques, for example, by doing something different in order to work towards goals. This method is effective for working with stress, depression, anxiety, obsessions and eating disorders in particular. I incorporate such techniques when appropriate with clients.
When working with clients who are creative and enjoy expressing themselves through art, I will use drawing, sand, playdough, art & crafts etc in order to help clients to express their difficulties. This can be extremely eye- opening in giving time to focus on the actual feeling, which opens awareness for clients and allows clients to connect more fully with themselves.
Humanistic therapy focuses on a holistic approach (looking at the person as a whole in all aspects of life). The focus is upon reflection of feelings and owning their thoughts and behaviours, in the aim of self- development. The therapy draws on the client's inner resources and own potential to overcome personal issues. My main footing is within humanisitc therapy , where I see the client as the expert of their own life and I help them to find their own inner strength, to succeed in their aims.
Mindfulness is a way of being in the moment and acknowledging that most troubling thoughts are either based on the past or worries of the future, where in focusing on the current reality it can provide a more calming prospective and challenge the truth of negative thoughts. I am an advocate for mindfulness and meditation as brilliant ways to relieve stress and to give the mind a time- out from daily pressures.
This is a client- centred approach, that provides the space and counselling skills in order for the client to find their own answers. The importance is placed upon the quality of the relationship, where the counsellor provides emotional warmth, patience and great listening in order for the client to feel comfortable to be truly themselves in therapy. I aim to provide the best working environment for clients to feel safe and able to truly share their difficulties and be able to trust in me as their counsellor.
Solution-Focused Brief Therapy
This approach focus on positive change, rather than past problems. I integrate solution- focused techniques into sessions as needed, being hugely beneficial for clients who are working on their identity and goals. I have also found this more useful in working with depression, as it provides hope and direction.
